Χρεωκόπησε στην Αγγλία ο tour operator Exclusive Escapes που ειδικευότα στην Τουρκία. Αυτή τη στιγμή έχει 1,750 κρατήσεις για το αμέσως προσεχές διάστημα και 500 πελάτες σε καταλύματα στην Τουρκία.
Η Υπηρεσία Πολιτικής Αεροπορίας της Αγγλίας σε ανακοίνωσή της τονίζει ότι εργάζεται για να διασφαλίσει ότι όλοι οι ATOL προστατευμένοι τουρίστες, θα ολοκληρώσουν τις διακοπές τους και θα επιστρέψουν στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, όπως είχε προγραμματιστεί, ενώ όλες οι μελλοντικές κρατήσεις που έχουν προστασία ATOL, θα αποδοθούν τα χρήματα στους δικαιούχους.
-προστατευμένο προς τα εμπρός θα πρέπει να αποδοθούν. Ένας πρόσθετος αριθμός κρατήσεων είναι για διαμονή μόνο, οι οποίες δεν καλύπτονται από το σύστημα ATOL.
Ο κ. David Clover, επικεφαλής διαχείρισης κρίσεων του ATOL, δήλωσε: «Η κατάρρευση της Exclusive Escapes, είναι μια επίκαιρη υπενθύμιση του γιατί παραθεριστές θα πρέπει να επιλέγουν διακοπές υπό την προστασία ATOL".
Ο tour operator εξέδωσε ανακοίνωση με την οποία εκφράζει την λύπη του για την εξέλιξη αυτή, τονίζοντας ότι και η κατάσταση στην Τουρκία επέδρασε αρνητικά στις εργασίες της εταιρίας.H ανακοίνωση στο website του σπεσιαλίστα έχει ως εξής:

27 August 2015 - a sad day Exclusive Escapes is deeply saddened to announce that we ceased trading as of 27 August 2015. Our immediate thoughts and sympathies lie with the many loyal guests, wonderful hoteliers and suppliers who are affected in addition to our unfailingly loyal team, both in Turkey and the UK. It’s no secret that 2015 has been one of the toughest years to date for tourism in the country, largely due to Turkey’s geo-political situation. This comes on the back of two challenging years of trading. Despite this, Exclusive Escapes performed well compared to the general market, but the two months following the atrocity in Tunisia, and then Turkey joining the coalition against Isis, together with ensuing events, have had a considerable impact on the market which have sadly proved unmanageable. Exclusive Escapes is bonded to ATOL and consumers with advance bookings are able to claim a refund under this scheme, or from their credit card issuers. We are taking steps to contact guests who have booked to travel with us over the next few weeks, encouraging them to get in touch with our properties independently, so as not to forgo the style of holiday which they have come to expect. We are also working with the CAA to ensure those in Turkey continue to enjoy their vacation over the next two weeks and that the necessary flight arrangements are in place for them to return. We apologise most sincerely for any inconvenience this has caused. A heartfelt THANK YOU to our fabulously loyal Guests and the wonderful owners, team and array of talents (in both the UK and Turkey) that have combined to create the Exclusive Escapes family. The official CAA statement: • Exclusive Escapes Ltd has ceased trading and, as a result, all air inclusive bookings with the company are now cancelled. Exclusive Escapes Ltd held ATOL 6056 and consumers with advance bookings will be able to claim a refund under the ATOL Scheme or from their credit card issuers. • Further advice, along with a claim form will be posted on the CAA’s website - www.Atol.org.uk • Consumers overseas will be able to complete their holidays and fly home as planned. The CAA is working with Exclusive Escapes to secure consumers’ ground arrangements.
